- Yolanda Navarro Flores
A lawyer, social activist and former state representative, Yolanda Navarro Flores carefully cultivates connections between HCC and District I stakeholders with the belief that a shared vision is the key to both student success and community building. (District I)
- Bruce A. Austin
Bruce A. Austin is a native Houstonian from the Fifth Ward, where he attended Wheatley High School. Elected to the HCC Board of Trustees in 1989, Mr. Austin was chairman from 1990 to 1992 and again from 2000 to 2002. He served as deputy secretary of the Board in 2006. (District II)
- Diane Olmos Guzmán
Diane Olmos Guzmán believes stakeholders in District III need and want practical programs that tie education and jobs together, as well as link the East End to the global marketplace. (District III)
- Dr. Michael P. Williams
Dr. Michael P. Williams was elected to the Houston Community College's board in 1999 to represent District IV — one of the most ethnically diverse districts in the HCC system. (District IV)
- Richard M. Schechter
Richard M. Schechter sought his seat on the Houston Community College Board of Trustees to ensure that educational opportunity was available to all, regardless of income level. (District V)

Regular meetings of the Board of Trustees are held on the fourth Thursday of each month at 4 p.m. at the System Administrative Building.

- Trustee Duties
The Board of Trustees is the official governing body of the Houston Community College System. It is composed of nine members who are elected to staggered six-year terms from single-member districts.
