Academic Dashboard
We are familiar with dashboards in airplanes or cars, that include dials and gauges that provide information on things the pilot or driver has input to monitor their progress. Now dashboards have been developed to help organizations monitor their advancement in meeting goals - Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) – that define attributes of success. HCC’s Academic Dashboard consists of ten dimensions which include: Access, Placement, Student Engagement, Financial Aid, Transfers, Persistence, Completion, Faculty Ratios, and Satisfaction. By monitoring these key indicators, HCC demonstrates its commitment to being the most relevant community college in the country.

Houston Community College’s Academic Dashboard was recognized by the Computerworld Honors Program as a member of the Class of 2011 Laureates. Founded in 1988, Computerworld Honors is the longest running global program to honor individuals and organizations that use information technology to promote positive social, economic and educational change. Computerworld is the leading source of technology news and information for IT influencers worldwide, providing peer perspective, IT leadership and business results. HCC’s Academic Dashboard was recognized for achievement in the training/education category, the only community college to be included.
