HCC Culinary Arts students named winners in national recipe contest

Congratulations to Rebecca Alarcón and Cuong "Cole" Huong for submitting winning entries in the Maple Leaf Farms duck recipe contest.
They were selected from 66 student entries nationwide.
Rebecca Alarcón took First Place with her winning entry: Butternut Squash Duck Lasagna.
Congo "Cole" Huong - placed in the top 5 with his entry: Roasted Duck on Crispy Rice Cake with Spicy Mango Chutney.
Rebecca will be receiving $5,000 cash prize and Cole will be getting $500 and a new knife set.
This is the second time HCC Central Culinary Arts students have won awards in the Maple Leaf Farms "Discover Duck" contest, which is designed to show new ways to use duck in recipes.
