Company needs Machine Shop Helpers as soon as possible.

The pay is up to $16/hour for a superstar veteran with Warehouse or Machine experience.

The client is located in North Houston (Cypress Fairbanks and 290 area). The minimum pay is $13.

There is room for advancement and the opportunity to learn more with the Oil & Gas company associated with this position for veterans who come in and do a good job.

They need first and second shift people. The hours are 4am-4pm and 4pm-4am Monday-Saturday.

All candidates must have transportation.

Veterans do not have to have any previous skills, training will be provided, and they will be working in the company’s warehouse shop that is so clean you could eat off the floor. They need to be okay with standing throughout the day, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working with their hands. The company provides shirts for employees to wear and will give them a stipend to buy steel toed shoes.

The company makes a dowhole tools for drilling. They are wonderful to work for…and the recruiter at Adroit says “I never have anyone to leave.”

  • Review and comply with company Safety Policies and enforce jobsite safety.
  • Assist Project Manager in coordination with Property Manager/Owner Representative in pursuing and completing all initial warranty work.
  • Be familiar and understand LEED requirements for the project, if applicable. This would include a focus on operational aspects of the project LEED strategies (i.e. recycling). Have a ready knowledge of LEED strategies to ensure compliance with all LEED credits.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager on the creation and execution of a project specific Project Close-out Plan.
  • May perform other duties as assigned by Manager.

  • Veteran Outreach Specialist / Recruiter - This position is the primary recruiter and point of contact for veterans coming into our Fellowship program in a 15 state region. VOS's work with veterans submitting applications to the program, conduct the first interview, and interact with local non-profits who wish to host veteran Fellows in the program. IT Grant Funding

The Information Technology Training for Tomorrow (IT3) grant is designed to assist in providing certifications to individuals who have been dislocated due to the current economic instability. Training will emphasize: "to assist in providing certifications to IT professionals who are long-termed unemployed or underemployed".

The grant is seeking long term unemployed participants and veterans

Note:  Veterans’ preference will be given.

Qualification Requirements

Applicants must be:

  • Experienced in the IT industry
  • Have some college credits
  • Long-Term Unemployed (>26 weeks) or who have become discouraged and stopped looking for a job, or
  • Underemployed (must meet the following conditions):
    • Working part time, seeking full time
    • Insufficient responsibility or pay relative to experience and/or education level of the applicant
  • Individuals who have earned at least some college credits (Associate’s Degree preferred)

Note:  Veterans’ preference will be given.
