HCC to use Apply Texas Application for Admission

Beginning September 27, 2017, Houston Community College will use ApplyTexas, the application used by every public college in Texas, as the sole application for individuals seeking admission to HCC for semester credit hour programs. This includes all academic and career programs.
The ApplyTexas application will streamline the application process for prospective students by providing content that is specific to their field of study. Applications will be automatically uploaded on a daily basis into the PeopleSoft student information system. Students are able to start an application and finish at a different time without losing data. Staff will be able to troubleshoot with students for the first time and assist them with completion.
It is important to note, applicants will be advised to allow 24-48 hours for processing once the application has been completed. Thereafter, a welcome letter and admissions letter will be sent to the preferred email account provided on the application.
The new application process does not apply to International/F-1, Non-Credit, Continuing Education or Adult High School applicants. Individuals seeking admission to HCC as one of these options will use the existing applications respectively.
