Blind student sees creative writing in future thanks to HCC professor

Imagine slowly losing your sight, having to relearn fundamental skills and grasp the reality of never seeing your loved ones again. Couple that with having to overcome years of doing and selling drugs. Instead of adjusting to this bleak reality, Houston Community College student Mikey Fields changed his story and recently won Creative Writing Student of the Year.
