On Wednesday, November 12, Houston Community College Southwest President Dr. Fena Garza was recognized as one of the "Top 25 Business Women in Houston" by the National Diversity Council. It was a prestigious award indeed. Dr. Garza took her place among 25 women including doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs, CEOs and professionals of all stripes.

"In Columbia, for the New Year, families get together, eat a big a meal and at midnight, we each take 12 grapes. Eating one grape at a time, we make one wish on each grape for the coming year," said a Houston Community College Southwest student to the table of ten students.
