HCC offers basic welding, Austin High School students receive certificates

Carefree children begin to understand the weight of responsibility and the obligations they are expected to uphold not only academically but socially as well. For most, this is enough of a challenge, but 14 Austin High School (AHS) students went above and beyond what was expected of them. They showed initiative, commitment and discipline by earning a Basic Welding Helper Certificate from Houston Community College (HCC) while also balancing their obligations as high-school juniors and seniors.

HCC and Jacobs announce August town hall meetings

Houston Community College (HCC) and its construction team, including Jacobs Program Management, have announced their August town hall meetings. These community engagement sessions are being held to inform the public about capital improvements related to new facilities that are part of HCC’s $425 million Groundbreaker Bond Program. HCC’s bond program provides 14 construction projects and new technologies across each of HCC’s six colleges.

More than 200 attendees came out for the occasion, which brought together prime contractors and SBEs interested in being a part of the large projects.

The NAEP Award of Excellence in Procurement is awarded to an institution on the basis of the procurement department's contribution to, and support of, the mission of their institution.
