C.3 Hiring Practices

The Board does not support preferential treatment in any employment practice and hiring policies and practices must be administered fairly and equitably.

The Board may establish separate procedures and criteria for hiring the Chancellor.  Faculty and qualifying senior-level administrative staff shall be employed pursuant to written employment/contractual agreements.

HCC may not employ or contract with an individual who was a member of the Board of HCC before the first anniversary of the date the individual ceased to be a member of the Board. Education Code 130.089
