HCC Summer STEM Academy 2014

Fulfill your creative and innovative aspirations and dreams using fun ways and practical applications. Experience real world challenges and tasks when you combine Science, Technology, Engineering and Math in an interactive and experimental approach using real world applications to solve crime mysteries.

The STEM program is designed to move students into the science standards. This is the Academy’s fifth year, over 900 students have benefited from the STEM program.

Activities include hands-on experiments in:

  • Forensic Science
  • Chemistry
  • Robotics
  • CSI/Physical Evidence
  • Engineering
  • Enriching Math
  • Designs/Drafting Engineering

There are 3 camps:

  • Northeast (YMCPA)
  • Southeast (Raul Yzaguirre)
  • Southwest (Alief-Taylor)
