HCC housekeeper trades broom for pencil to become full-time student

Jackeline Granillo, former housekeeper at the HCC Katy campus, fantasized about going to her first college class. The first generation Salvadoran-American worked at the Houston Community College Katy Campus in housekeeping and knew she wanted to further her education, and had decided to enroll as a full-time student for the Spring 2015 semester and is currently taking summer courses. Her goal is to get an Associate Degree in Sonography.
