Rhythmic, vibrant and technically sound – this Houston Community College student duo mixed the elegance of Spanish guitar melodies with the fast paced bravado of metal shredding on the fret board.

HCC scholarship recipients recognized at book signing event

The Eastside Campus at Houston Community College held a book signing event for John Quiñones, author of "What Would You Do? Words of Wisdom About Doing the Right Thing". Quiñones also met recipients of the John Quiñones Scholarship Fund which was established through the HCC Foundation.

Venezuelan becomes first international student to land internship through HCC Groundbreaker Bond program

As Houston Community College continues to transform into the College of the Future, the engineering and architecture firms, and construction companies involved in the Groundbreaker Bond program are building career opportunities for HCC students. These students are paid interns chosen by project construction managers to work in their offices and/or out in the field.

The Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center’s Commit for Life Scholarship is open to students whose school hosted multiple blood drives in the 2014-2015 school year. Luckily for Houston Community College, nine blood drives were held at the West Loop, Stafford and Gulfton campuses during this time frame to qualify.

Veterans find more than an education at HCC

There are 3,139 members of the veteran student community currently enrolled at Houston Community College. The veteran community includes spouses, spouses of active duty military personnel and their dependents. HCC has several programs that support the veteran community.
