Mexican delegation from U.S. Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program visits HCC Alief-Hayes Campus
A delegation from Mexico visited the West Houston Institute and Alief-Hayes campus as part of the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program that fosters citizen-to-citizen diplomacy for emerging leaders.
Houston Community College cut the ribbon at its new 37,000- square-foot STEM building on the HCC Southeast College Felix Fraga Academic Campus today. The new facility will allow the Fraga Campus to accommodate an additional 700 students and features an observatory, state-of-the-art classrooms and labs and maritime simulation equipment.

The Government Finance Officers Association has awarded Houston Community College a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the college's 2017 comprehensive annual financial report. This is the 11th year HCC has qualified for the award.
The Harris County District Attorney’s office has charged a man for allegedly making a terroristic threat at Houston Community College Central Campus. Luis Antonio Rivera, 21, was arrested and charged following the investigation by HCC Police.
