First President’s New Freedom Initiative Award
2010

Awarded 5-year, $2.5 million grant from the Department of Education’s Transition and Postsecondary Programs for Students with Intellectual Disabilities (TPSID).

2015

Recognized by the Texas House of Representatives for its joint leadership in the creation of a new state consortium, Access College Texas, which promotes postsecondary education opportunities for Texans with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Texas House of Representatives issued state proclamation for providing quality postsecondary education to Texans with Intellectual and developmental disabilities for more than 25 years.

Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board STAR Award Finalist.
